JOURNEY TO THE HOLY LANDS
I travel with a big family all the time. Sometimes it's chaotic, other times it's even more fun than traveling with a tiny family. This journey is probably one of my favorites; our trip to the Holy lands, Makkah and Madinah. In this blog, I'll tell you all about traveling with a big family!
HOME LAND TO HOLY LAND
WHY EMIRATES AND DUBAI AS HUB FOR BIG FAMILIES | Whenever we go to the Middle East, we usually take an intersection at Dubai. They have comfortable accommodations, and it’s cheaper than taking an airplane straight to our destination.
A RARE OCCASION | Our flight to Dubai was at midnight. We arrived there before Subuh and so we had to pray there too before boarding the plane to Jeddah. Since I always either pray at home or at a Surau, it was a learning experience to pray in an open space. My family and I found a secluded corner to pray before checking the Qiblat and laying down a Sajadah. We took our Wudhu with mineral water, making sure to not waste a single drop.
ARRIVAL IN THE CITY OF THE PROPHET
DAILY PRAYERS | The hotel we were staying in was so close to Masjid Al Nabawi that it was only a short walk away. We stayed in Madinah for a week. Everyday we had an exciting journey planned for us. We took the opportunity to pray at Masjid Al Nabawi anytime we could.
